Code Blue Consulting is the consulting business of Code Blue Communications, Inc.. We are based in beautiful Seattle Washington.

Founded in 2000 to bring practical wireless solutions to the medical device industry by our Principal Bill Saltzstein, Code Blue Communications provided value added products with Bluetooth wireless technology until 2006, and has offered Consulting services to the Wireless and Medical Device industries since.

About Bill
Bill Saltzstein founded Code Blue Communications in 2000 to apply his experience and expertise to help wireless product and medical device companies. Bill provides consulting services to large and small medical device companies in the areas of system architecture, program management, technology, and product development for wireless medical devices.

Prior to rejoining Code Blue in 2013, he spent 3 years as the Worldwide Medical Business Development Director and Sales Manager for the US operation of connectBlue, AB, specializing in healthcare for their Bluetooth and WLAN modular products.

In 2006, Bill took two years away from Code Blue to lead the development of innovative home safety technology and products at LifeTone Safety (featured in selected Kidde products), and again for a year in 2009 to work as Vice President of Engineering at Pyng Medical, a trauma products company.

Before founding Code Blue, Bill served as Director of Advanced Development at Medtronic Physio-Control in Redmond, Washington. Prior to joining Physio-Control, he led product development teams at Instromedix and Hewlett-Packard developing both diagnostic and interventional cardiology equipment for emergency medicine and hospital customers.

Bill began his professional career with Hewlett-Packard’s calculator design teams as a project engineer and integrated circuit designer for the HP71B and 18/28C.

Bill holds 24 patents associated with battery-powered and portable medical devices, communications and other technologies. His active professional memberships include AAMI, IEEE, and Bluetooth SIG. Bill’s academic career includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Rochester, and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Cocoanut Manor, LLC is a technology start-up that Bill founded to develop and market the eNote Bluetooth low energy display.

Bill is an avid photographer, as well as a partner in Cinq Cellars, a boutique winery featuring the best in Washington State wines.
